All Out of Love
What would I do without you?
For some people, the pain is
always hitting longer than some other people. It’s not that it’s late like regret;
it’s just that the realization of the pain takes a little bit longer to finally
hit them home. Arguments are common in a romance relationship; since there are
two heads and two hearts riding in the same ship. And some arguments just take
its toll on every person in the relationship differently. One may be affected
directly so that they are getting angry and being over-emotional; and perhaps
it will lead to them storming out or casting out the other. Meanwhile, the
other one may be affected gradually as time goes by during the aftermath of the
argument; and perhaps they are leaving or being left behind without even
knowing why they are being casted out or left behind. For people like the
latter ones, it takes time until they can precipitate all of the conflict and
process it inside their head. And only after that they can finally understand
what is going on. And that is when the pain is taking over. And that is when
they know they have to try everything to make things right again. That’s when
they know they’re sorry. That’s when they know they’re out of love.
“I want you to come
back and carry me home, away from these long, lonely nights. I’m reaching for
you, are you feeling it too? Does the feeling seem oh, so right? And what would
you say if I called on you now and said that I can’t hold on? There’s no easy
way, it gets harder each day, please love me or I’ll be gone.” –Air Supply, All Out of Love
This song I just can’t
get it out of my head this whole day (thanks to “Deadpool 2”). It’s titled “All
Out of Love”, performed by legendary Australian soft rock duo, Air Supply. It
was released in February 1980 as a single from the duo’s fifth studio album, “Lost
in Love”. The soft rock track was written by Graham Russell and Clive Davis.
Lyrically, it speaks about someone’s lonely and guilty feeling caused by the parting
from their beloved ones. In a nutshell, for me, this song is a blatant plea for
forgiveness and chance for the relationship to not come to an end.

The worst thing of an
argument between lovers is when there is no closure discussion. One is just
walking away without saying anything but some hurtful remarks toward the other,
while the other is just stunned and not knowing what to do without any chance
to say anything. And the worst part is when we know that we’ve hurt the person
whom we actually care for. And also the worst part is when we finally realize
that there is very little and limited chance for us to explain our true
intention towards the person whom we hold most dear. The door has closed and we
cannot stop trying to knock on it. Yet no matter how hard we try, it won’t open
that easily. And we try to hold on by cherishing all the good times back then,
without knowing whether we could have good times like that again in the future.
We are tormented and torn apart in uncertainty. “I’m lying alone with my head on the phone, thinking of you till it
hurts. I know you hurt too but what else can we do? Tormented and torn apart. I
wish I could carry your smile in my heart for times when my life seems so low. It
would make me believe what tomorrow could bring, when today doesn’t really know.”
And we are still wide
awake in the middle of the night only to realize that we want nothing but to
cease the war. We are missing our significant other too much to care about
things that have made us angry anymore. We are longing for our partner too much
to think that we hate them for closing any chance for conversation. We don’t
want to argue anymore. We just want to apologize. We don’t want to throw cold
eyes anymore. We just want to give a warm hug. We don’t want to hear any
hateful remarks anymore. We just want to say that we love them and we are sorry
that we set them apart. We just want to be home. “I want you to come back and carry me home, away from these long,
lonely nights. I’m reaching for you, are you feeling it too? Does the feeling
seem oh, so right? And what would you say if I called on you now and said that
I can’t hold on? There’s no easy way, it gets harder each day, please love me
or I’ll be gone.” And yes, we do realize in the process that we are the one
to blame. All the fault and mistakes are on us and us only. And though there’s
no easy way, we were willing to attempt on anything, for that is what love
means; giving endless efforts.
“What are you thinking of?” In our loneliness we are wondering
whether our significant other is feeling the same. In our isolation we are thinking
whether our partner is thinking the same. We wonder whether there is any
chance; whether there is any way we can get through their heart again. We think
whether there is any room left in their heart; whether we could be given a
chance to make things right again. And we cannot think straight about anything
else but how to make things right again. For we all out of love and so lost
without the person we hold most dear. “I’m
all out of love, I’m so lost without you, I know you were right, believing for
so long. I’m all out of love, what am I without you? I can’t be too late to say
that I was so wrong.” For we all out of love and are nothing without the
person we care the most. Though it may appear that we are too late to regret,
we can do nothing else because we realize that it was our ego that had set them
apart in the beginning. Though it may appear that we are too late to beg for
pardon, we can do nothing else because we are just human who makes mistake
sometimes. And that’s what makes us human; we grow and we learn from our
mistakes.

We are human; we grow and we learn from our mistakes. And human relationships are growing by learning from the conflicts. I always believe that: in love, we can never be too late to say that we were wrong. If it is love, there is always a room for a chance. If it is love, there is always tolerance. If it is love, there is always forgiveness. If it is love, there is always understandings. If there is not, then perhaps it isn’t love; it’s merely an ego. For love means we never cease to try to make it real. Though we understand that it is hard as hell, we also understand that the only heaven we could have is by keep going on. Though we understand that there is no easy way, that it may get harder each day, we keep on trying anyway for we know that it’s the only thing that could give us peace in the end. And though there may be many other chances we throw away for choosing this one difficult road, I always believe that there is nothing that comes easy for something that is right. And if we try to look at it from other perspective, there is something much more and bigger that we can achieve when we are together. We have been there and we know the potentials. And in the end, I believe, it’s all worth the journey of all the ups and downs.
“I’m all out of love,
I’m so lost without you, I know you were right, believing for so long. I’m all
out of love, what am I without you? I can’t be too late to say that I was so
wrong.” –Air Supply,
All Out of Love
I’m lying alone with
my head on the phone, thinking of you till it hurts
I know you hurt too
but what else can we do? Tormented and torn apart
I wish I could carry your
smile in my heart for times when my life seems so low
It would make me
believe what tomorrow could bring, when today doesn’t really know, doesn’t
really know
I’m all out of love, I’m
so lost without you, I know you were right, believing for so long
I’m all out of love,
what am I without you? I can’t be too late to say that I was so wrong
I want you to come
back and carry me home, away from these long, lonely nights
I’m reaching for you,
are you feeling it too? Does the feeling seem oh, so right?
And what would you say
if I called on you now and said that I can’t hold on?
There’s no easy way,
it gets harder each day, please love me or I’ll be gone, I’ll be gone
I’m all out of love, I’m
so lost without you, I know you were right, believing for so long
I’m all out of love,
what am I without you? I can’t be too late to say that I was so wrong
Ooh, what are you
thinking of? What are you thinking of?
What are you thinking
of? What are you thinking of?
I’m all out of love, I’m
so lost without you, I know you were right, believing for so long
I’m all out of love,
what am I without you? I can’t be too late I know I was so wrong
I’m all out of love, I’m
so lost without you, I know you were right, believing for so long
I’m all out of love,
what am I without you? I can’t be too late I know I was so wrong
I’m all out of love, I’m
so lost without you, I know you were right, believing for so long
I’m all out of love,
what am I without you? I can’t be too late to say that I was so wrong
