pieces of me

People say that some of them are living in the memories. Well me, I always say that I’m living in the now, in the present time. But yes, memories are part of my life. And sometimes, sometimes I just can’t help but being brought back in the universe of memories. Memories, for us, human being, are moments that have become a past, therefore I cherish them. I read once in somebody’s blog that a blog post itself is a tribute to our old memories. We capture the moment through words, we write it down, and so the moment today will become tomorrow’s yesterday, and the now will become the future’s past. We frame the moment through a writing, enshrine it, and so it will become a memory to remember. Everytime I read my old writings, I feel like I’m taking a look back at my own memories, like watching it in a movie, like listening to it in a song. It’s the last day of June, therefore the last day for Moments Of Our Lives too. And I realize, I will never stop writing. I can’t stop writing. It doesn’t matter if nobody read this, as long as the future-me can read it and take her back to the moment of the now.

“Do you still remember how we used to be? Feeling together, believe in whatever my love has said to me. Both of us were dreamers, young love in the sun. Felt like my saviour, my spirit I gave you. We’d only just begun.” –Spice Girls, Viva Forever

Today’s song for Moments Of Our Lives is a classic titled “Viva Forever”, performed by the most successful British legendary girl group, Spice Girls. It was released on July 20th 1998, served as the fourth as well as the final single from their second studio album, “Spiceworld”. The song gained positive reviews from critics. It also charted fairly well, becoming Spice Girls’ eighth number one single. “Viva Forever” was a commercial success despite the poor promotion.

Live forever for the moment. The lyrics of “Viva Forever” speak about living in the memories, not always, but only at some particular moments when we reminisce the precious moments of the past. “Do you still remember how we used to be? Feeling together, believe in whatever my love has said to me. Both of us were dreamers, young love in the sun. Felt like my saviour, my spirit I gave you. We’d only just begun.” The days of our youth are bright. They should be bright. They must be bright. Every moment that we live, every step we take, every path we choose, they are things to be remembered in our future. They make us who we are today, and tomorrow. So while you live, embrace it, so that you can cherish it later. “Yes I still remember, every whispered word. The touch of your skin, giving life from within like a love song that I’d heard. Slipping through our fingers, like the sands of time. Promises made, every memory saved has reflections in my mind.”
“Back where I belong now, was it just a dream? Feelings unfold, they will never be sold, and the secret’s safe with me.” Memories are reflections of our old selves. As beautiful as they are, they eventually bring us back to the present to reflect. Hasta mañana is a Spanish that means ‘until tomorrow’. People use it to say ‘see you tomorrow’ or ‘see you later’ for another person, in terms that they fully understand they won’t see that person for a little time or even a long one. At some point in life, people eventually say goodbye. It’s an unavoidable farewell, people come and go. However, the memories stay. And some people are destined to be remembered forever. They may just stay for a while, for one chapter of our lifetime storybook, but that’s enough to make them live forever in our memories. “Hasta mañana, always be mine. Viva forever, I’ll be waiting, everlasting, like the sun. Live forever for the moment, ever searching for the one.”

Spice Girls' figurines in the "Viva Forever" music video

“Viva Forever” was written by Spice Girls, along with Richard Stannard and Matt Rowe. It became the last song released by Spice Girls with the original quintet formation, because it had been recorder prior to the departure of Geri Halliwell. Ironically, it was also the first single that the Ginger Spice didn’t take part during the promotion. But, magically, the situation suited well with the song’s lyrics, it seemed like they’re saying goodbye to Halliwell. Well, just because we have to take different path with people we love, it doesn’t mean that the moments we’ve shared aren’t real. It’s just the way it has to be.

“Back where I belong now, was it just a dream? Feelings unfold, they will never be sold, and the secret’s safe with me.” –Spice Girls, Viva Forever

“Do you still remember how we used to be?
Feeling together, believe in whatever my love has said to me
Both of us were dreamers, young love in the sun
Felt like my saviour, my spirit I gave you, we’d only just begun

Hasta mañana, always be mine

Viva forever, I’ll be waiting, everlasting, like the sun
Live forever for the moment, ever searching for the one

Yes I still remember, every whispered word
The touch of your skin, giving life from within like a love song that I’d heard
Slipping through our fingers, like the sands of time
Promises made, every memory saved has reflections in my mind

Back where I belong now, was it just a dream?
Feelings unfold, they will never be sold, and the secret’s safe with me”

There are some moments in life that have the power to make people remember. How they used to be. What they used to do. How they lived so far. What they have done so far. Memories of the past are flashing in their minds in that particular moment. Have you ever felt that way? Have you ever had that kind of moment? A moment when you reminisce the past, take a look back at it, and realize what it has done to yourself and your surrounding. How it has made you who you are today. What it has made you become. Have you ever asked yourself; are you happy now? Have you ever wondered; did you do it your way? Sometimes it’s followed by some fears. Did you do the best? Did you choose right? Did you have any regrets? It’s okay to have those fears, as long as you don’t lose hopes. A hope that will bring you strength, to continue, to move on, to do it your way. Because it’s your life, and you only live once.

“And now, the end is near, and so I face the final curtain. My friend, I’ll say it clear, I’ll state my case of which I’m certain. I’ve lived a life that’s full, I traveled each and every highway. And more, much more than this, I did it my way.” –Frank Sinatra, My Way

One of the signature songs and the biggest hits of American legendary singer, the late Frank Sinatra, titled “My Way”, is our today’s song for Moments Of Our Lives. It was first released on March 1969 as the title song from his album of the same name. The lyrics of this traditional pop orchestra song were written by Paul Anka, and set to music based on the French song “Comme d’habitude” composed in 1967 by Claude François and Jacques Revaux. Anka’s English lyrics are unrelated to the original French song. Even until nowadays, “My Way” is thought to be one of the most covered songs ever written, alongside The Beatles’ “Yesterday”.

Have you ever had the moment when you reminisce, when you take a look back at your life so far, and think it through? The lyrics of “My Way” tell the story of a man who, having grown old, reflects on his life as death approaches. He is comfortable with his mortality and takes responsibility for how he dealt with all the challenges of life, while maintaining a respectable degree of integrity. And as his life comes to an end, he knows it’s all worth it because he did it his way. “And now, the end is near, and so I face the final curtain. My friend, I’ll say it clear, I’ll state my case of which I’m certain. I’ve lived a life that’s full, I traveled each and every highway. And more, much more than this, I did it my way.” Life is indeed a long journey, ends with a death. And what makes a death worthy? Well, they say, if we cherish every moment, celebrate every joy and smile, embrace every pain and scar, live this short life to the fullest. “Regrets, I’ve had a few, but then again, too few to mention. I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption. I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway. And more, much more than this, I did it my way.”
“I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried.  I’ve had my fill, my share of losing. And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing. To think I did all that, and may I say, not in a shy way. Oh, no, not me, I did it my way.” Life is indeed rough, wild, and dangerous. So what makes it worth the journey? Well, they say, it all will be beautiful when it’s time; a beauty that will wash away the pain and tears, turns them into happiness and laughters. A beauty that can make us realize in the end that, yes, it’s all worth it after all. “Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew, when I bit off more than I could chew. But through it all, when there was doubt, I ate it up and spit it out. I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way.” Life is indeed full of choices. And what makes a choice worthy? Well, they say, after all, if we follow our hearts, count our blessings, and do it our way, for life is too short to be wasted in somebody else’s way instead of ours. “For what is a man, what has he got? If not himself, then he has naught to say the things he truly feels, and not the words of one who kneels. The record shows I took the blows and did it my way.”

Im Tae Kyung performed "My Way" on episode 115 of "Immortal Songs 2"

Lee Dong Woo performed "My Way" on episode 199 of "Immortal Songs 2"

Since the late Frank Sinatra, and apparently, “My Way”, is very popular in South Korea, this song is one of few Western songs that has been covered in the entertainment music program, “Immortal Songs 2: Singing the Legend”. Not only once, but twice. The first one was on episode 115, during “The Legend 7 Special”, when it was performed by Im Tae Kyung. That episode was broadcasted by KBS television station on August 24th 2013 and by KBS World channel on September 14th 2013. The latest one was during the “Family: The Most Touching Word in the World” special episode, when Korean blind veteran singer, Lee Dong Woo, performed it. The episode 199 was aired on KBS television station on May 16th 2015 and on KBS World channel on June 6th 2015. “My Way” is indeed a heartfelt yet somehow self-empowering song. Its lyrics and melody is everlasting. And I believe it will live through another century ahead.

“I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried.  I’ve had my fill, my share of losing. And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing. To think I did all that, and may I say, not in a shy way. Oh, no, not me, I did it my way.” –Frank Sinatra, My Way

People say that there’s nothing impossible as long as we believe. Well then, how about an impossible love? A love that can’t be? A love that doesn’t meant to be? If you ask me, I will say that it does exist. Love is, still, human’s biggest mystery in this life after all. It feels like there’s no reason for someone to fall in love with somebody. They just do. And it’s whether the love is unrequited or the other way around. The unrequited ones, that’s the impossible ones. Have you ever had an impossible love? For people who have, having an impossible love is probably one of the most unforgettable moments for them. As deep and real as it feels, it cuts deep and real too. As everlasting as it feels, it lingers everlasting too. So if you still look back at that moment and wonder to yourself how did love slip away, perhaps you need to start realize, that some loves are destined to slip away, that they are meant to not be, that they are impossible ones.

“My lips are getting dry from your silence, my footsteps are frozen by your cold look. Instead of ‘I love you’, you turn your back and tell me ‘goodbye, goodbye’ with a choked voice. It was love that was impossible.” –Yang Hee Eun, Impossible Love (이루어질 수 없는 사랑)

Today’s song for Moments Of Our Lives is a Korean classic hit titled “Impossible Love (이루어질 수 없는 사랑)”. It was performed South Korea’s legendary female singer-songwriter, Yang Hee Eun. Yang gained wide popularity with this song, though during the time of its release, it was banned for the lyrics that said love was impossible. However, it became popular again when actor Kwon Sang Woo sang it in a movie titled “Once Upon A Time In High School”. The English translation of the song’s title is also known as “Hopeless Love”. It was first released in 1971 as a part of a compilation album Yang made with her friends. It later served as the lead single for her third solo studio album released in 1973. “Impossible Love (이루어질 수 없는 사랑)” is a song that comforts a broken heart, with simple chord progression that made it popular among amateur guitarists.

Have you ever had a moment of an impossible love? Have you ever looked back at that moment and wondered to yourself how did love slip away? The lyrics of “Impossible Love (이루어질 수 없는 사랑)” speak up about pain and sadness that come from having the impossible love. “My lips are getting dry from your silence, my footsteps are frozen by your cold look. Instead of ‘I love you’, you turn your back and tell me ‘goodbye, goodbye’ with a choked voice. It was love that was impossible.” People say that we can’t choose whom we fall in love with, but we can definitely choose what we want to do with our feelings. Well, for me, it’s the other way around. Because I personally think, that we actually can choose whom we fall in love with, but we can’t precisely choose what to do with our feelings. Therefore, when we fall in love with someone whom we know we can’t have, we can’t just switch the feeling off like that. It’s not that easy.
“I walk on the snowy road alone all night, where is the warm sight of you now? Dear rain, please just hit me harder on the face, please hit me harder on my sad face. So that you will hide my painful tears, for it was love that was impossible.” Indeed, love is the human being’s biggest mystery in this life. We fall in love with someone whom we know we can’t have or can’t love us back, yet we keep falling. We feel the love that can’t be or doesn’t meant to be, yet we can’t stop the feeling. Nothing is impossible as long as we believe, have hopes, keep on trying and don’t give up. But love is different. It can’t be forced. Yet having an impossible love could be a precious moment, that allows us to grow up as a person. “While I wait for you who walked away hating me, I keep building and destroying castles of you. The breaking waves are swallowing the words that I truly deeply love you. It was love that was impossible.”

Sunggyu performed "Impossible Love" on episode 56 of "Immortal Songs 2"

Until this date, “Impossible Love (이루어질 수 없는 사랑)” had been performed twice in the Korean entertainment music program, “Immortal Songs 2: Singing the Legend”. The first one was on episode 56, during the second part of two-episodes of the first Yang Hee Eun special, when it was performed by idol group Infinite’s leader, Sunggyu. It was aired on KBS television station on June 23rd 2012 and on KBS World channel on July 14th 2012. About two and a half years later, the song was performed by the male soloist with majestic voice, JK Kim Dong Wook, during the second Yang Hee Eun special. That episode 178 was broadcasted by KBS television station on December 20th 2014 and by KBS World channel on January 10th 2015.

Memories can come up anytime. It’s not always coming during the rainy or cloudy days. It can also come during the bright and sunny days. Especially, those memories of special moments we spent with special people. Some people say that time heals, and even the most painful memories will eventually fade away. While some other say that as time passes by, we’re just getting used to live with it, therefore the most painful memories will be less painful afterwards. One or the other way around, whatever it is, I believe that as time goes by, we can take a look back and smile at those memories, even the most painful ones. And when that time comes, we will feel the kind of indescribable heartwarming feeling.

“On a beautiful day where the blue sky shines upon me, I’ll think of someone that I’m longing for.” –Song Chang Sik, A Beautiful Day (푸르른 날)

Korean classic hit titled “A Beautiful Day (푸르른 날)” is our today’s song for Moments Of Our Lives. The folk ballad song was first released in 1983 by the legendary Korean singer-songwriter, Song Chang Sik. It was written by Song with Seo Jeong Joo’s poem. Song gained public recognition with this song along with the album. “A Beautiful Day (푸르른 날)” was considered to raise Korean music’s artistic value. The English translation of the song’s title is also known as “Azure Day”.

Time is a majestic and magical thing. It can turn even the most painful moment into a smile, in one beautiful day, when the memory suddenly comes up to mind. The lyrics of “A Beautiful Day (푸르른 날)”, though very short and simple, have a deep meaning about a beautiful day to remember. Though it’s a sad lyrics about reminiscing the past during a bright day, somehow it brings a heartwarming feeling. “On a beautiful day where the blue sky shines upon me, I’ll think of someone that I’m longing for. At this place where the autumn falls with flowers, and the green leaves are turning their colors. What should I do if it snows? What should I do if the spring comes again? How would it be if I die and you live? How would it be if you die and I live?” Time is moving forward, and season keeps coming, taking place after one another. It’s alright to have many wonders, but don’t let yourself be burdened by it, because nothing lasts forever.

Im Tae Kyung performed "A Beautiful Day" on episode 35 of "Immortal Songs 2"

Sweet Sorrow performed "A Beautiful Day" on episode 174 of "Immortal Songs 2"

Up to this date, “A Beautiful Day (푸르른 날)” had been performed twice on the South Korea’s entertainment music program, “Immortal Songs 2: Singing the Legend”. The first one was during the first part of two-episodes Song Chang Sik special, when it was performed by Im Tae Kyung. The episode 35 was broadcasted by KBS television station on January 28th 2012 and by KBS World channel on February 18th 2012. Almost three years later, “Immortal Songs 2” held another two-episodes Song Chang Sik special, and this song was performed by Sweet Sorrow during the first part. The episode 174 was aired on KBS television station on November 22nd 2014 and on KBS World channel on December 13th 2014.

“What should I do if it snows? What should I do if the spring comes again? How would it be if I die and you live? How would it be if you die and I live?” –Song Chang Sik, A Beautiful Day (푸르른 날)

Some days ago, I attended my little sister’s graduation day. And just like that, it was suddenly bringing back memories of my own graduation. Again, I was astonished by how the time flies. Seems just like yesterday I attended my own graduation, but now it’s already 10 years since junior high graduation, 7 years since senior high graduation, and 2 years since college graduation. Thinking back at my whole life so far, I can feel that it’s all worth it when I know I’ve made friends for a lifetime. Friends that, even though we’ve gone separate ways, the time and space barriers are never matter when we meet again. Our jokes are still the same and our frequencies are never changed. And for me, rather than the certificate we got (though that’s important too) from a graduation, friends for a lifetime are something more precious. Graduation isn’t about a mere paper, it’s more about the moments we shared with people at that place; a place we’re about to leave, people we’re about to say goodbye, moments we’re about to have as memories.

“And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives, where we’re gonna be when we turn 25. I keep thinking times will never change, keep on thinking things will always be the same. But when we leave this year, we won’t be coming back. No more hanging out, cause we’re on a different track. And if you got something that you need to say, you better say it right now, cause you don’t have another day.” –Vitamin C, Graduation (Friends Forever)

Today’s song for Moments Of Our Lives is a classic titled “Graduation (Friends Forever)”. It was performed by American singer, Colleen Ann Fitzpatrick, better known for her stage name, Vitamin C. The pop R n’ B song was first released on April 4th 2000 and served as the third single release from her self-titled debut album.

Graduation isn’t about a mere paper we got for finishing a study and having done being a student. It’s more about the moments we shared with people at that place; a place we’re about to leave, people we’re about to say goodbye, moments we’re about to have as memories. It’s quite fascinating that in the “Graduation (Friends Forever)” song lyrics is mentioned that ‘where we’re gonna be when we turn 25’, because I’m now 25. So, recalling this song right now is like a deja vu. Some years ago I sang this song with friends and wondered how we would be when we turn 25, and now we’re really 25. Breathtaking. “And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives, where we’re gonna be when we turn 25. I keep thinking times will never change, keep on thinking things will always be the same. But when we leave this year, we won’t be coming back. No more hanging out, cause we’re on a different track. And if you got something that you need to say, you better say it right now, cause you don’t have another day.”
Graduation is like a bookmark. It divides one chapter and another of our lives. And life, it keeps moving forward. It makes people eventually have to say goodbye to a chapter in order to start a new chapter. And when a graduation comes, we can’t help but reminiscing all moments we’ve been through with our friends. And we can’t help but wondering about the future we will face soon, or perhaps a distant future when we’re a lot older than now. Half exciting, half terrifying. And suddenly, all of those moments are flashing in front of us like a movie. And we hold onto them while preparing ourselves for another chapter to begin. “Cause we’re moving on and we can’t slow down. These memories are playing like a film without sound. And I keep thinking of that night in June, I didn’t know much of love but it came too soon. And there was me and you, and then we got real blue. Stay at home talking on the telephone. And we would get so excited and we’d get so scared. Laughing at ourselves thinking life’s not fair, and this is how it feels.”
“So if we get the big jobs and we make the big money, when we look back now, will our jokes still be funny? Will we still remember everything we learned in school? Still be trying to break every single rule? Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man? Can Heather find a job that won’t interfere with her tan? I keep thinking that it’s not goodbye, keep on thinking it’s a time to fly, and this is how it feels.” Back then when I had those graduations, I didn’t know how it really feels to finally see those moments from a future. I could only wondering what would I be, what would my friends be, how would we’re be. That’s natural, I guess. And now, since I already have had them and finally live in yesterday’s future, I understand how it feels to have reunions; to see those graduation moments from a future. And it’s always fascinating me how me and my friends are doing now. Fascinating that we’re now living in the time we wondered back then. And with some friends, goodbye isn’t really a goodbye. Because when we meet again, everything still feels the same.
“Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now? Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow? I guess I thought that this would never end, and suddenly it’s like we’re women and men. Will the past be a shadow that will follow us around? Will these memories fade when I leave this town? I keep thinking that it’s not goodbye, keep on thinking it’s a time to fly.” Graduation is not a goodbye. It’s a time to fly. Memories may be fading, but it stays forever deep inside our hearts and minds. Thinking back at my whole life so far, I can feel that it’s all worth it when I know I’ve made friends for a lifetime. And I’m very grateful for having them. Everytime we have a reunion, it feels like we’ve never been apart. We still laugh over same jokes. We still think in same frequency. We still be there. So if you’re still in school or college right now, live the moments and make friends for your lifetime. It’s wonderful, and it’s worth it. “As we go on, we remember all the times we had together. And as our lives change, come whatever, we will still be friends forever.”

Vitamin C in the "Graduation (Friends Forever)" music video

The music video for “Graduation (Friends Forever)” was directed by Gregory Dark. It contained scenes shot in a high school. Vitamin C has made a song for a lifetime, as the song is well known for being played at school graduations, even until nowadays. It became her megahit and infamous signature song over the generations.

“Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now? Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow? I guess I thought that this would never end, and suddenly it’s like we’re women and men. Will the past be a shadow that will follow us around? Will these memories fade when I leave this town? I keep thinking that it’s not goodbye, keep on thinking it’s a time to fly.” –Vitamin C, Graduation (Friends Forever)

“And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives, where we’re gonna be when we turn 25

As we go on, we remember all the times we had together
And as our lives change, come whatever, we will still be friends forever

So if we get the big jobs, and we make the big money, when we look back now, will our jokes still be funny?
Will we still remember everything we learned in school? Still be trying to break every single rule?
Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man? Can Heather find a job that won’t interfere with her tan?
I keep, keep thinking that it’s not goodbye, keep on thinking it’s a time to fly, and this is how it feels

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now? Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow?
I guess I thought that this would never end, and suddenly it’s like we’re women and men
Will the past be a shadow that will follow us around? Will these memories fade when I leave this town?
I keep, keep thinking that it’s not goodbye, keep on thinking it’s a time to fly”

I have a little brother. He’s eight years younger than me and it feels just like yesterday when he used to crawl around the floor, asking for food with alien-like language that I didn’t understand (and he cried out of frustration because I didn’t understand that he asked for food). Feels just like yesterday when he started to walk, and suddenly run around the house. Feels just like yesterday when I used to make him crying by teasing him a lot (and I never get enough of it, though our Mom scolded me a lot too for that). However, it was the real yesterday, when my lil brother turned 17. Yup, already. I was choked up, realizing how time flies. He’s an official young adult now, I understand, yet somehow deep inside my heart I still see him as my baby brother that I need to take care of and worry about. So I dedicate this writing for him (okay, it’s the first time I write for him actually). No matter how tall you grow and how old you are, you’ll always be my “little” brother in my heart and mind. And I’ll always be willing to do anything and effort everything for you. And you can always lean on me. Thanks for being born as my baby brother.

“Sometimes in our lives, we all have pain, we all have sorrow. But, if we are wise, we know that there’s always tomorrow.” –Michael Bolton, Lean On Me

Dedicated to my beloved younger brother is a classic hit titled “Lean On Me” as today’s song for Moments Of Our Lives. It was performed by American legendary singer, Michael Bolton, and released in 1994 as the fifth single taken from his album, “The One Thing”. The album was released on November 16th 1993. “Lean On Me” was originally sung by Bill Withers and first released on April 21st 1972 as the first single from his second album, “Still Bill”. Numerous cover versions have been recorded since then, including Bolton’s version.

As I’ve mentioned above, today’s song is dedicated to my younger brother. The lyrics of “Lean On Me” spread the spirit of togetherness; together we stand, apart we fall, as in a family. “Sometimes in our lives, we all have pain, we all have sorrow. But, if we are wise, we know that there’s always tomorrow.” Living the life itself is a lonely thing to do. Though we were born, and we will die, alone, we live the life by having family and friends. Though we don’t have one, we can make ones. A true family and friends are the ones that people can lean on. Whenever life gets hard and rough. Wherever there’s no place seems like home on this earth. Family and friends are there to soothe your weary soul. Family and friends are there to make you feel at home. “Please swallow your pride, if I have things you need to borrow. For no one can fill, those of your needs that you won’t let show.” In front of true family and friends, there’s no need to play tough. With the sense of belonging, there won’t be any discomfort towards each other.
“Lean on me, when you’re not strong, and I’ll be your friend, I’ll help you carry on. For it won’t be long, till I’m gonna need someone to lean on.” The moment when my little brother was born, I didn’t understand what it was really mean to be a sister. As the time passes by, I begin to understand. Through every moment we’ve been spending together, I learn to understand what it’s really mean to be a sister. “You can call on me brother when you need a hand, we all need somebody to lean on. I just might have a problem that you’ll understand, we all need somebody to lean on.” He’s there to give meaning for me, that I could be a place for someone in this world to lean on. When the time gets too hard for him to bear, when the life seems so unfriendly, he knows where to find me, at the very least. And I’ll be there whenever he calls, because that’s what family is for. “If there is a load you have to bear that you can’t carry, I’m right up the road, I’ll share your load. If you just call me, call me. If you need a friend, call me.”

So Hyang performed "Lean On Me" on episode 169 of "Immortal Songs 2"

Michael Bolton became the first foreign legend that have made an appearance in the South Korea’s entertainment music program, “Immortal Songs 2: Singing the Legend”. He appeared as the legend on episode 169. The Michael Bolton special episode was broadcasted by KBS television station on October 18th 2014, and by KBS World channel on November 8th 2014. “Lean On Me” was one of the songs in the playlist, performed by female soloist, So Hyang. Her mesmerizing performance was topping my list of 7 Most Fantastic Winning Performance on “Immortal Songs 2” of 2014.
