Program acara musik “Immortal Songs 2: Singing the Legend” episode 140 merupakan edisi spesial dengan almarhum lyricist Park Geon Ho sebagai legenda. Episode ini mengudara pada tanggal 15 Februari 2014 di stasiun televisi KBS, serta di channel KBS World pada tanggal 8 Maret 2014. Park Geon Ho, almarhum penulis lirik legendaris Korea Selatan ini telah meninggalkan 3.000 lagu dengan lirik-lirik indah ciptaannya. He gave birth to best singers and songs. Through his lyrics, he described life with daring and fresh expressions. People loved his pieces because they can easily sing and relate to his lyrics. And so, the wandering minstrel left us 3.000 songs with precious lyrics. Hadir sebagai salah satu penampil dalam episode tersebut adalah Yoon Min Soo, vokalis dari duo Vibe sekaligus singer-songwriter. Ia tampil membawakan lagu berjudul “Someone’s Love Story”, yang dipopulerkan oleh solois wanita Min Hae Kyung, dengan lirik yang ditulis oleh almarhum Park Geon Ho.
“Someone’s Love Story” is a song about a hopeless love; about someone who has a love that can never be. They felt something different since the first time they met that person. They couldn’t help but fell in love with that person. Hence, somehow their love would never be. And so they felt so desperate. What should they do about their feeling? “Whenever I meet you, it feels so warm just like this. What should I do about this hopeless love? When I smile on the outside, my heart feels sad inside. I can’t help but falling in love.” Once they fall in love, they would love with all their heart. Even if that love could never be, even if that love brought so much pain, they would try to smile and keep going with that hopeless love. “I am a person that loves with all my heart. What should I do about this hopeless love?” They go on live their lives while wondering where this hopeless love will lead them, and how it will end. As they do, it’s like they half of their lives don’t belong to them. And beautifully heart-wrenching, they don’t own the other half either, because they have to live while missing that person. “Half of my life belongs to you. I don’t own the other half either. Dirilis pertama kali pada tahun 1981, “Someone’s Love Story” adalah lagu hits yang melambungkan nama Min Hae Kyung. “Someone’s Love Story” seharusnya ditampilkan oleh Hyorin, vokalis utama girl group Sistar, pada episode 5 ketika Min Hae Kyung hadir sebagai legenda. Namun Hyorin mengganti pilihan lagunya dengan lagu lain. Versi original “Someone’s Love Story” adalah lagu pop dengan medium tempo. Sementara itu, Yoon Min Soo membawakannya kembali dengan aransemen ballad orchestra yang luar biasa apik dan menyayat hati. Episode 140 dan “Someone’s Love Story” adalah penampilan pertama Yoon Min Soo dalam program “Immortal Songs 2”. Dari beberapa penyanyi yang langsung memenangkan trophy “Immortal Songs 2” dalam kehadiran pertama mereka di program tersebut, Yoon Min Soo menjadi salah satunya. He’s truly a singer with a voice that touches people’s hearts. And yes, this amazing performance was worth the win.
