Leader sekaligus vokalis utama dari boy group SHINee, Lee Jin Ki alias Onew, menyumbangkan suara emasnya untuk membawakan sebuah lagu yang menjadi soundtrack serial drama produksi SM Entertainment, “To The Beautiful You”. Lagu yang bertajuk “In Your Eyes” ini dirilis sebagai single “To The Beautiful You OST Part 2” pada tanggal 22 Agustus 2012. Lagu manis ini merupakan karya dari komposer Park Geun Chul dan Lee Sang Yeol.

“In Your Eyes” is a ballad track which portraits the feeling about loving someone forever. Love and happiness feel like a dream, because they’re just too good to be true. But even if it really was a dream, people tend to have this dream forever. Somehow, people already feel that since the moment they first met that one person. They feel the fate through the warmness within that person’s smiling eyes. They feel the destiny through their heartbeat. And they will remember that day as a bright beautiful one in their life. They’ll remember that day when love came to them. And their tears are shed because they feel so thankful.

Lagu ini kemudian menjadi bagian dari album “To The Beautiful You: Original Soundtrack” yang dirilis pada tanggal 19 September 2012. Onew terbukti adalah pilihan yang tepat untuk membawakan lagu ini. The depth to his voice, with some nice instrumental accompaniment, makes for an emotive listen about loving someone forever. This makes for a template for any successful ballad, and to paraphrase another writer, very much hard to fault. “In Your Eyes” is such perfection.
