Always Miss You

I always miss you, but I can’t get closer to you. Looking at the faded pictures, I’m missing you again today. I always long for you, but where have you gone? Your image is drenched in my tears, please come back to me, love.” –Lee Sun Hee, I Always Miss You [translated lyrics]

She’s the first female singer to have a fan club of women, a charismatic vocalist that’s every girl’s idol in 1980s. Her appearance in “Immortal Songs 2” was a tribute for her 30 years of career in the music industry since her debut in 1984.
“I Always Miss You”, just like it title, is a song about a woman who’s longing for the man she loves. Sadly, the only man she loves is also the only man she could never be with. “I always miss you, but I can’t get closer to you. Looking at the faded pictures, I’m missing you again today. I always long for you, but where have you gone? Your image is drenched in my tears, please come back to me, love.” Sadly, the only man she could never be with is also the only man she could never live without. “Come back, love. Come back to me, all I can think of about is only you. I can’t let go of my burning love. Please come back to me, love.” With that desperate condition, all she could ever do is yearning and begging for that love to come back, for her, for good.
Dirilis pertama kali pada tahun 1988, “I Always Miss You” merupakan bagian dari album keempat Lee Sun Hee yang bertajuk “This Place Where the Love Sets”. Lee’s soft yet rich voice stands out in this sorrowful song about love. This song made her more beloved than any other male singers among teenage girls as it ranked first for five consecutive weeks on K-Pop Top 10 and won her the Music Grand Prize. “I Always Miss You” became a hit again when actress Kim Jung Eun sang it in the popular movie “Marrying the Mafia” (2002). Penampilan Bada kali ini berbeda dari trademark performance-nya, yang identik sebagai powerful performance with sexy outfits. In this performance, she focused on singing without any extravagant details, yet didn’t lose her signature as the Queen of performance. As expected, Bada never disappoints me. Her rendition of “I Always Miss You” was as fabulous as ever.

Come back, love. Come back to me, all I can think of about is only you. I can’t let go of my burning love. Please come back to me, love.” –Lee Sun Hee, I Always Miss You [translated lyrics]

“Na hangsang geudaereul bogopa haneunde mamcheoreom gakkaul su eobseo
(I always miss you, but I can’t get closer to you)
Oneuldo bit baraen nakeun sajin sokui geudae moseub geuriwohane
(Looking at the faded pictures, I’m missing you again today)

Na hangsang geudaereul geuriwohaneunde  geudaeneun eodiro tteonatna
(I always long for you, but where have you gone?)
Dajeonghan geu moseub nunmullo yeouljyeo  geudaeyeo naege dorawayo
(Your image is drenched in my tears, please come back to me, love)

Dorawa geudae naege dorawa nan ontong geudae saenggak ppuniya
(Come back, love, come back to me, all I can think of about is only you)
Bul gateun naui sarang pihal su eobseo geudaeyeo naege dorawayo
